View BioDanish born chiropractor, Dr Peter Oxenvad, graduated from the Anglo-European College of Chiropractic, Bournemouth, in 1996 and received his Doctor of Chiropractic (DC) in 2001. Peter is a full member of the British Chiropractic Association, and holds full registration with the General Chiropractic Council (00751).
During his career Peter has developed a particular interest in the area of spinal trauma and whiplash associated injuries, and in 2003 Peter was invited to advance his training further under the renowned and leading whiplash expert Dr Arthur Croft, founder and director of Spine Research Institute of San Diego, US.
In 2004 Peter became the first, and currently the only chiropractor, to have gained UK recognition by Cardiff Law School, Cardiff University, as a certified expert witness in Spinal and Skeletal Trauma.
In daily practice Peter remains passionate about the health benefits chiropractic can offer. He has carried out 1000’s of examinations and successfully treated a wealth of acute and chronic conditions in his patients. His motto “Just because a condition is chronic doesn’t mean to say you have to live with it” remains central to his approach to patient care.
Peter strongly believes that chiropractic offers a unique way of helping patients who suffers with chronic or acute neuro-muscular-skeletal conditions, and the many satisfied patients treated by chiropractors throughout the UK and beyond every day bear evidence that chiropractic healthcare is an attractive and cost-effective solution from which people can enjoy better general health.
Peter also recognises the benefits in a multidisciplinary treatment approach and has established good working relationships and dialogue with local Hospitals/GP’s, spinal surgeons and healthcare professionals alike.
Peter is currently completing a Masters in Healthcare Coaching at Derby University. He enjoys endurance sports and the odd game of tennis. Peter has four children.
Luke is a graduate of the Anglo-European College of Chiropractic (AECC), Bournemouth. Having gained a master’s degree in Chiropractic with a First Class distinction, Luke also earned the prestigious “Outstanding Academic Student Award” for his year.
Before embarking on a career in chiropractic, Luke achieved a First Class bachelor of science degree in sports, fitness and exercise, he is a member of the British Chiropractic Association and he holds full registration with the General Chiropractic Council.
Luke has a keen interest in sport since a young age, with a background in rugby, and it is from here and his further studies in chiropractic and sport science that he comes to appreciate the importance of looking after your body, and the adverse life-changing consequences it can have if you don’t!
Luke is passionate about the short and long-term results and the benefits chiropractic offers, in his practice clear communication and patient education takes centre stage, allowing his patients to be fully engaged in their journey toward achieving optimal health. “Chiropractic can truly transform a persons life, however chronic the condition may be” he says, “and with a plethora of treatment and rehabilitation modalities to hand the scope of conditions Chiropractic treats, are many”.
During his residence at AECC, Luke also undertook paediatric placements, working along side midwifes and lactation specialists, and this allowed him to discover how chiropractic can also help the youngest in our population, including neonates and infants. He encourage any age group to try Chiropractic to discover the benefits for themselves.

Before joining the reception team here at Thorne Road chiropractic clinic, I had worked in retail for over 25 years.
My interests include listening to music, holidays and spending time with family, it is a good job seeing as my son in law is one of the chiropractors here at the clinic.
I thoroughly enjoy meeting and interacting with people and look forward to greeting you at the clinic.
I was delighted to join the team here at Thorne Road Chiropractic Clinic after I was made redundant from my admin role at a leisure centre as a result of the pandemic.
Having worked in various admin roles throughout most of my working life (17 years for a manufacturing company, 10 years at a Secondary school, and 5 years in my previous position), it would seem like I can’t get enough of it!
I have been a patient here at the Thorne Road Chiropractic Clinic for many years (and I still am to this day!), initially suffering acute neck pain but now receiving wellness care, so I know the team well and can use my experience as a patient to relate to everyone that walks through our doors.
It can be a nerve-wracking decision to have a Chiropractic examination, but we are all here to put everyone at their ease and make them feel welcome.
I look forward to meeting all the patients that come to the clinic and getting to know them during their treatment journey with us.
It’s great to be a part of a team that actively helps people every day and makes a difference in their lives!
